Singles will be given $100 electronic credits to offset up to 50 percent of the dating events, workshops and services offered by the participating SDNTrust accredited agencies during the campaign period from 15 September to 31 October 2017. Example:

Note: For individuals undergoing separation, your registration as an SDN website user will be put on hold until you have finalised your divorce proceedings.

Registering for Spark Connections 2017 Events, Workshops and Services with the AAs

  1. Can I participate in the participating SDNTrust Accredited Agencies’ events and services if I am not an SDN website user?

Yes, you can participate in the AAs’ events, workshops and services. However, only SDN website users will be eligible for the credits and use the credits to offset up to 50 percent of the dating events, workshops and/or services.

  2. When are the registration closing dates for the Spark Connections events and services?

Registration period and deadlines may vary according to each event, service and workshop, as well as individual participating SDNTrust accredited agency. Hence, we recommend that you sign up for the Spark Connections 2017 events, workshops and services as soon as possible to avoid disappointment. Please also note that registration is subjected to capacity and gender balance (unless otherwise stated).

  3. How will I know what is the price of the event or service, after deduction of credits? Also, what are the payment modes available?

For any Spark Connections 2017 event, workshop or service, you have to sign up directly with the participating SDNTrust accredited agency. During sign up, the accredited agency will advise you on the amount of credits to be deducted from your account for the subsidy for the event, workshop or service you are signing up for, and the balance payment required. The payment mode by each accredited agency will be listed on their respective events’ description under SDN website’s Dating Events and Online or Personalised Matching pages.

Credits Management

  1. Can I enquire on my credits balance with the participating SDNTrust accredited agencies?

The accredited agencies are only able to verify if you are an SDN website user and the amount of credits deducted for usage of their events or services. To check on your credits, you will need to personally log on to your SDN website account using your SingPass, and check for details under the ‘Credit Transaction History’ under ‘My Profile’.

  2. How can I check if the payment amount advised by the participating SDNTrust accredited agency is accurate?

You can check your credits balance via the SDN website. As a gauge, you will pay 50 percent less of the accredited agency’s events or services, unless there are insufficient credits remaining.

    Example:
You have signed up for a dating event that costs $150, so $75 electronic credits (i.e. 50% of $150) will be deducted from your account and you will need to pay the remaining $75 for the dating event directly to the accredited agency via cash or other payment modes specified by the accredited agency.

In the event there are insufficient credits in your account for the maximum 50 percent subsidy, the accredited agency may deduct full remaining amount of your credits and request you to pay the balance amount via cash or other payment modes stated by the accredited agency.

    Example:
Continuing from the above example – You have already used $75 electronic credits for a dating event and so have $25 electronic credits remaining in your account from the original $100 electronic credits. Now you are keen to sign up for a workshop that costs $60, however you have insufficient amount credits for the maximum 50 percent subsidy (i.e. $30, which is 50% of $60). Hence, when you sign up for the workshop, the accredited agency will deduct the remaining $25 electronic credits from your account and request you to the remaining balance of $35 (i.e. cost of workshop at $60 minus $25 electronic credits) via cash or other payment modes.

  3. Can I sign up with the SDNTrust accredited agency if I have insufficient credits?

Yes you can, but you will need to top up the balance on the price of the event or service via cash or other modes of payment specified by the accredited agency. You are responsible to ensure you have sufficient credits when you sign up for an event or service under Spark Connections 2017. Hence, it would be advantageous for you to plan how to best utilise your $100 credits, given your personal interest and objectives.

  4. Can I request for refund of credits after I have registered for the SDNTrust accredited agency’s event or service?

Refund of credits will be at the sole discretion of the SDNTrust accredited agencies, in line with their refund policies. You are advised to read through respective accredited agencies’ refund policies as listed on their respective service’s description under “refund policy” found on SDN website – http://app.sdn.sg/DatingServices/DatingEvents.aspx (Dating Events) and http://app.sdn.sg/DatingServices/OnlineorPersonalisedMatching.aspx (Online or Personalised Matching).

  5. Who can I approach should there be any discrepancy in the credits deduction?

For discrepancy in the credit deduction amount, please check with the participating SDNTrust accredited agencies directly.

  6. Who can I approach should there be any discrepancy in the credits balance?

For discrepancy in credit balance, please write in to SDN at msf_sdn@msf.gov.sg.
